Dolly Singh, one of the most popular and relatable content creators, made her Cannes debut in style this year. The OML Entertainment talent graced the event in various elegant outfits and ensembles, with India’s leading online fashion destination and house of brands AJIO as her fashion partner.
On the opening night, for dinner and drinks, Dolly chose a versatile black halter Scotch and Soda dress with pink scarf details on the back that exuded a sensual retro vibe reminiscent of nostalgic prom nights. She matched the dress with a pair of pink rhinestone-studded heels. Complementing it was a mini bag carefully selected to reflect the latest trend of compact accessories. To let her dress and heels do the talking, Dolly kept her accessories minimal with a pair of hoop earrings. The look perfectly captured Cannes’ dainty and elegant essence.
The next day, for lunch, Dolly opted for a white co-ord set with vibrant prints of oranges, lemons and leaves that reflected a summery vibe all the way. The co-ord set was effortless and easy-going, and spoke for itself. She matched it with a pair of minimal strappy heels that perfectly complemented the outfit without overpowering it, letting the delightful print take the centre-stage. Talking about choosing this ensemble, Dolly said, “When I saw the set on AJIO for the first time, I knew it had to be a part of my Cannes looks because it was just perfect - simple, elegant and just what I needed!”
Meanwhile, a stunning orange dress with beautiful strap detail at the top from AJIO was the perfect choice for an evening of dinner, drinks and lively festivities. Its fit was impeccable, exuding elegance and sophistication that balanced well with the fun and youthful pop of colour. Once again, Dolly kept it minimal with accessories while her footwear matched well with the strap on the dress, making for a cohesive look. She also wore her hair back to let her ensemble make a statement.
And lastly, on a relaxed day at Cannes, Dolly wanted to wear something she felt the most comfortable, and as surprising as it sounds, her go-to choice is a saree. She believes that nothing ever beats the grace of a plain saree, and opted for a white cotton Kerala Kasavu saree with a simple yet elegant gold border from Indie Picks at AJIO. Dolly felt that it was the best way to represent India at the interview with the India Pavilion and later while sightseeing. Her look carried a charming old-school vibe, and as she strolled through the streets of Cannes, it had plenty of heads turning!
This one-of-a-kind collaboration between Dolly Singh and AJIO was facilitated by OML Entertainment and brought together two of the biggest names in India’s fashion scene. It was a significant move that enabled the brand to take the Indian fashion ecosystem to a global stage through a multifaceted creator like Dolly Singh, who, in turn, is a style icon herself.
