Toujours is a French-inspired bakery, offering a wide range of versatile bakery goods, including bread, pastries, cakes, desserts, and beverages. The bakery bakes daily to provide fresh products for the guests and takes pride in sourcing and using carefully selected fine ingredients. The icing on the cake? The birth of Toujours

The wholesome journey of Toujours began with two tiny feet taking it one day at a time. Alpa Pereira’s love for baking started at the tender age of 7. She started baking every opportunity she got, for friends, family, neighbours, and any occasion she could. After pursuing a degree in microbiology, Alpa realized that her true passion lay in food and baking. She discovered that like any creative pursuit, baking, for her, was a form of self-expression. She realized very early on, that a recipe is just a recipe until a baker comes along to make it authentic altogether. Steadily, she poured her passion, creativity, and love into every recipe. But make no mistake. As it was just the beginning of a truly exhilarating journey. Alpa Pereira enrolled herself in a Hospitality Diploma at Sophia College, Mumbai. After mastering the basics, she developed her skills at The Taj Mahal Mumbai with a determined focus on the art of making pastries. Later, Alpa and her husband Kenneth Pereira curated a takeaway shop named ‘Cake & Candy’ in a quiet street based in heart of Mumbai and would supply to the Bombay Gymkhana as well as other corporate offices. As the business grew, they set up a tiny commercial kitchen in a rented space in Khetwadi where they continued to supply to some of the top corporates in the city as well as the Good Luck Bakery in Bandra.

As the business gained momentum, they bought a space in Andheri West and expanded the product line to create eclectic and customized cakes that are masterpieces in their own right. The doors to the world of big designer cakes opened when she baked the 25th wedding anniversary cake for one of the most well-known power couples of Bollywood - Dilip Kumar and Saira Banu and from there, she never backed down.

The gifted Alpa Pereira has travelled extensively honing her skills through courses in France, Germany, the USA, and Austria among other places under international master chefs where she perfected her craft and expanded her knowledge to bring to Mumbai products of exceptional quality and taste. And with that, Toujours was born.
