Maheka Mirpuri wears many hats – fashion designer, jewellery designer, fitness enthusiast, themed event planner & designer and a passionate philanthropist. For designer Maheka Mirpuri what started as a passion 2 decades over soon grew to become her profession with the launch of her couture-de-salon, Mumbai’s only “By Appointment” fashion atelier.
Maheka started her career as a passion when she was in college. She studied in Green Lawns & went to Sophia's, then got engaged & soon she got married.
She used to personally hand paint herself & what was a passion developed soon into a full fledged brand. It all started from selling painted scarfs just at the age of 19 to getting orders on her personal attire & her style.
She started holding exhibitions at her home. And in time when clients were inundated at her residence she had to find a professional space.Thats how her label Maheka Mirpuri was born.

Maheka Mirpuri fashioned her alcove in the scintillating world of haute couture by creating spectacular, classy & chic women's wear ensembles. Fashion is something Maheka is passionate about - the most exhilarating way of propagating her experiences, enthusiasm and reverie with others.
The designer's signature is prominent in the silhouettes that are at par with international fashion trends. Maheka defines her lines as being characterized by an attention to detail & to a flexibility of style, which, of course, stems from her style philosophy: classic and feminine. Intricate embroideries being the designer's mode of expression, are a very important aspect of her design element.
Besides designing spectacular couture ensembles, Maheka has also been instrumental in creating corporate wear for a renowned jewellery brand as well as for the staff of Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai.
Carrying forward her creative visions, Maheka also diversified her fashion label into jewellery design. In association with a renowned jewellery brand, the jewellery pieces designed by Maheka are contemporary, one of a kind and in-sync with her clothing line.
A designer of repute, Maheka Mirpuri excels in beautifying a woman naturally, highlighting her personality on an individual level. Designing for the women of style, Maheka Mirpuri’s ensembles are donned by the crème-de-la-crème of the world. Plans are afoot to take the eponymous label, which has been a success for over 2 decades, to newer heights through line and brand extension. Headquartered in south Bombay as a "By Appointment Only" couture-de-salon, Maheka is now taking her collection to other cities in India as well as expanding internationally, besides retailing it Online.
Maheka has had a long journey with many ups & downs. Every time she looks back she only feels how far she’s come. Managing to combine elegance & creativity with effortless ease, Maheka’s immaculate designs and her effervescent creations have made her a name to reckon with.
Twice winner of Woman's Achiever Award for her achievements in the field of fashion as well as for being an inspiration to others over the years, Maheka is also the recipient of the Woman Entrepreneur award by Phulkari, a women’s organisation in Amritsar. She was also awarded the Fit & Fab award by Global Spa magazine for her dedication towards fitness.
Another accomplishment for designer Maheka Mirpuri has been her foray into theatre. The designer was approached by theater maverick Raell Padamsee to design costumes for her mega project ‘Unfaithfully Yours’ wherein Maheka designed the looks for actor Mona Singh.
Maheka Mirpuri has been passionately involved with meaningful causes like raising funds for the Mukti Foundation, pledging her solidarity with the Make-a-wish-foundation, running the Marathon for autistic children, undertaking support for Save the Tiger project, being part of Set Beautiful Free (an NGO that helps build
a meaningful life for children of sex workers) & supporting the Terry Fox Foundation's India chapter.
Maheka’s charitable foundation MCAN that helps raise funds for the underprivileged fighting head and neck cancer at Tata Memorial Hospital has handed over Rs.6.43 Crores through its annual charity fundraisers in the last 7 years. Celebrities like Anil Kapoor, Boman Irani, Jackie Shroff, Manisha Koirala, Randeep Hooda, Kunal Kapoor, Soha Ali Khan, Vivek Oberoi, John Abraham have endorsed her cause.
The MCan foundation was incepted in 2013 by designer Maheka Mirpuri in aid of the Tata Memorial hospital (TMH) for providing financial assistance to the underprivileged towards cure for cancer as a whole and Head & Neck cancer in particular. Head & Neck cancer are the commonest cancer in the country, constituting one–third of all cancers with the highest incidence in the low socio-economic strata.
The foundation raises funds for the less privileged fighting cancer at Tata Memorial Hospital (TMH), India’s premier cancer treatment, education and research centre. TMH is amongst the biggest cancer centres in the whole world registering more than 43,000 new cancer patients every year with 60% of the patients from the general category being given free or highly subsidised treatment.
Designer Maheka Mirpuri who lost her father & brother-in-law to cancer in the span of just one year, realised that fighting cancer is a huge financial drain & that got her thinking of how difficult it must be for the less privileged to fight this disease.
MCan hosts an annual fundraiser to help raise funds for the less privileged patients fighting head & neck cancer at at Tata Memorial Hospital. The MCan foundation not only raises money to help the underprivileged at TMH, it also raises awareness about a disease that can surface at any time.
The Mcan Foundation has raised and handed over 6 Crores, 43 Lakhs & 75 Thousand to TMH in these last 7 years since its inception. To date over 1200 patients have benefited through this initiative.
This charitable foundation has been established with the single minded purpose of enriching the human experience with hope, strength & joy & help patients who are not only dejected from medication and hospitalization, but also aware that their life span is decreasing.
Maheka feels in her small little way whatever she can do she will continue to do by raising these funds,creating an Impact & helping the underprivileged Fight Cancer at Tata Memorial .
